Here are a few images from an amazing photographer, Eugenio Recuenco. My friend and I were looking through these a few days ago and talking about how the light and texture make the almost bleak photographs extremely expressive. The above is a great example of this.
In Spain, Recuenco shoots exclusively for Vogue. Other names I saw on his site include Lodi, Madame Figaro, Nox, Vanity Fair, View, Wad, and Stern. Many others as well.Every series is completely different: locations, cultures, times, stories. I particularly like the fairy tale photographs...couture is a fantasy all on its own. Other themes/stories include: fairs, film noir, sci fi, victorian, cirque de soleil, ancient things, graphic novels, exploration, suburbia, travel, the list goes on.
I think I orginally saw this on NOTCOT.

There are really only three colors in this one. It's very still on the ground, but the sky contains so much motion. The balance across the photograph is perfect. Love it!
